How Does RHA® Work?

RHA is crafted using a gentle manufacturing process that preserves the natural structure of hyaluronic acid (HA). This ensures that RHA feels more like the HA in your skin, providing a harmonious and integrated result. By minimizing the alteration of the HA molecule, RHA offers a cleaner and more authentic beauty experience.

During an RHA treatment, your Newport Beach injector will use a tiny needle to inject a small amount of the filler into the areas you want to improve. Once injected, the hyaluronic acid attracts water molecules, plumping up the treated area and making it look fuller and smoother.

Types of RHA:

Right now, there are four RHA fillers available in the U.S., each with different levels of crosslinking:

• RHA 2 is super flexible and great for smoothing out moderate folds. It’s perfect for tackling those pesky radial cheek lines (the “accordion lines”) and lipstick lines around the mouth. Plus, it works well for lip augmentation and even under the eyes.
• RHA 3 has a firmer texture and is ideal for moderate to severe facial folds. Providers often use it to smooth out smile lines and address the corners of the mouth.
• RHA 4 is the firmest option, designed for deeper injections. It’s excellent for tackling deep wrinkles and severe folds, like nasolabial folds and marionette lines, plus it helps enhance the chin and jawline.
• Lastly, RHA Redensity is the newest addition, specifically created for moderate to severe wrinkles around the mouth. It effectively targets those fine lines (often called marionette) including barcode, smoker, and lipstick lines.

Is RHA® Right For Me?

Here’s what to consider when trying to figure out if you’re a good RHA candidate:

• Age: Generally, you should be at least 22 years old. But no worries, if you’ve got deeper lines at a younger age! We can talk about your options.
• Skin concerns: Are you dealing with those pesky lines around your nose and mouth or those crow’s feet? Or maybe your cheeks are looking a bit flat? RHA can help with all of that.
• Restore lost volume: Our skin loses volume and elasticity as we age. RHA fillers can help restore fullness to the cheeks, lips, and temples, giving your face a youthful and plump appearance.
• Health: Ensure you’re in good general health and haven’t had any major allergic reactions to injectables. This will help for a smooth treatment.
• Expectations: Be realistic about what RHA can do. It’s great for improving lines and wrinkles, but it’s not a magic wand.

• Any underlying health issues, like diabetes or autoimmune diseases.
• Have you ever had a bad reaction to fillers, Botox, or other injectables?
• Any pills, potions, or supplements you’re taking.
