Non-Surgical

LifTyte

LifTyte in Newport Beach

Liftyte, also known as Agnes RF, is a revolutionary non-surgical radiofrequency microneedling device that targets deep skin layers, offering results once only achievable through surgery.

This cutting-edge treatment combines microneedling and radiofrequency to tighten and firm your skin. It’s a gentle yet effective way to boost collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By targeting the dermis with microneedles, this innovative treatment lifts and tightens tissue, revealing a brighter, younger-looking appearance.

How Does LifTyte Work?

Unlike traditional laser treatments, LifTyte offers a more comfortable experience with minimal downtime. The procedure involves gently penetrating the skin using tiny needles, creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the body’s natural healing process and the production of new collagen and elastin fiber.

Meanwhile, the radiofrequency energy heats the deeper layers of the skin, promoting further collagen and elastin synthesis. This combination of microneedling and radiofrequency works synergistically to improve skin texture, reduce pore size, and enhance overall skin tone. The stimulation of collagen production is key to the success of LifTyte which is achieved by treating both the upper layers of skin and the deeper tissues.

What Can I Treat With LifTyte?

Cystic acne is embarrassing and painful. Worse, for many women, it shows up during menopause! If you’re tired of looking at eye wrinkles and acne, a LifTyte consultation is a great idea.

If you’ve struggled with active acne all your life, LifTyte can offer you relief from the pain and embarrassment of breakouts. You can be freed from the endless rounds of:

  • Trying a new cleanser
  • Using peels and scrubs
  • Just covering it up with makeup

LifTyte can also be used as a targeted reduction tool. If you are at a healthy weight but still have a double chin, you may be dealing with a fat deposit that weight loss can’t resolve. LifTyte therapy can be used to reduce the fat deposits under the jaw and tighten up the skin.

Additionally, this procedure can be used to target syringoma. These tiny bumps can look like whiteheads, but they’re not a sign of infection. They indicate that a duct inside a skin cell is misfiring or malfunctioning. Previously, these could only be removed via laser therapy or manual removal, both increase the risk of scarring.

You can be free of these small white or yellowish bumps without burning or cutting, thanks to LifTyte. It can take up to 5 treatments that need to be spaced up to 3 months apart, but you will likely notice significant improvements after completing your entire series.

In general, LifTyte can be used to:

  • Treat the sebaceous glands responsible for cystic acne
  • Firm up the skin tissue under the chin that creates a double chin
  • Brighten and tighten the droopy skin under the eyes
  • Treat uneven skin tones
  • Smooth out wrinkles and fine lines

How Does LifTyte Affect Your Skin?

Collagen makes up a great deal of your body and is found in bones, teeth, tendons, and cartilage. The collagen targeted by the LifTyte tool and the procedure is Type IV, which can be found in the skin.

LifTyte stimulates collagen production by harnessing the power of controlled injuries. This means that once the tool is applied with radiofrequency energy waves, your body will go to work to heal and renew itself. As your immune system goes to work, the “micro-channels” in the skin fill in with new collagen, and the loose skin gradually becomes firm and fresh.

If you’ve considered a facelift or are looking at a cosmetic surgical procedure but don’t feel quite ready to take that course of action, getting a LifTyte procedure under your chin and around your eyes to make the skin firm will be effective without the downtime and risks of more invasive surgery.

LifTyte also minimizes sebaceous glands responsible for chronic acne, particularly cystic acne. After the treatment, the bacteria that cause the inflammation, redness, and adult acne pain can no longer thrive. The inflammation recedes, and the skin texture becomes smoother and clearer.

The Consultation Process for LifTyte

Dr. Goretti Ho Taghva of LEA Plastic Surgery is a devoted working mom of three girls. Her clinic is named after them! She understands that you are busy, but she also knows that you are remarkable and unique. A consultation at her state-of-the-art facility will allow you to discuss your aesthetic goals and learn more about the LifTyte procedure.

LifTyte treatments are designed to increase your confidence and improve your quality of life. Dr. Ho Taghva or someone from her team of aesthetic professionals will explain the treatment to you, evaluate your candidacy, and allow you to ask questions during your consultation. This meeting will help you to get a treatment plan customized to your skin and goals.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Generally, it takes at least three treatments to see long-lasting results. This procedure is better when targeting small areas; if you try to do too much, you may be unhappy with the discomfort and the recovery period. Be prepared for the long haul to achieve the best results. After each LifTyte treatment your skin will need time to recover completely, so do your best to be patient.

How Long Does LifTyte Last?

This treatment offers long-term benefits, with results that can last for months or even years. For example, Agnes RF can permanently eliminate sebaceous glands, leading to a 96% cure rate for acne. Skin tightening and smoothing effects typically last for 6-12 months.

Is LifTyte Right for Me?

Safe for all skin types, this innovative device addresses sagging skin, under-eye bags, wrinkles, and stubborn skin conditions like cystic acne and enlarged pores, all without scarring or damaging the skin.

If you’re worried about any of the following, Agnes RF may be the answer to your problems:

  • Puffy eyes – Agnes RF permanently reduces under-eye bags by melting fat and tightening the skin. Enjoy a more youthful and refreshed appearance with no incisions or scars.
  • Syringomas – Agnes RF targets the root cause of these stubborn bumps by coagulating the eccrine sweat glands without damaging the skin’s surface.
  • Sagging skin – Agnes RF can help address sagging skin, particularly in areas like the jawline and neck.
  • Jowls – The treatment can effectively reduce the appearance of jowls, providing a more youthful contour.
  • Submental fat – Agnes RF can help target and reduce double chin by addressing submental fat.
  • Forehead wrinkles – Agnes RF can help smooth out forehead wrinkles, giving you a more relaxed appearance.
  • Crow’s feet – The treatment can reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, those fine lines around the eyes.
  • Smile lines – Agnes RF can help minimize the depth of smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds.
  • Upper lip lines – The treatment can address fine lines above the upper lip.

Aftercare and Healing

Following your Agnes RF treatment, take the day off. Usually, patients can resume their normal activities the day after their treatment. This is much faster than other treatments that address the same concerns! You may experience swelling, redness, and mild bruising for up to a week.

Be gentle to your skin; you’ll be given some aftercare products, so try to use them and nothing else. If you’re uncomfortable being out and about without makeup, try to take a day or two at home so your skin can heal fully. Getting makeup, lotion, fragrant cleansers, or sweat in your LifTyte treatment area during the healing process will hurt, so enjoy some downtime!

Here are our aftercare tips:

  • Reduce swelling: Apply ice packs to the treated area for 3-5 minutes, 3-5 times daily.
  • Protect your skin: Avoid direct sun exposure for approximately two weeks to prevent hyperpigmentation.
  • Let your skin heal: Refrain from wearing makeup for the first two days to allow your skin to recover.

Remember, your treatments will be spaced out over time and, after your first treatment, you’ll know how your body reacts to LifTyte therapy.

How Much Does Agnes RF Cost in Newport Beach?

The cost of Agnes RF aka LiftTyte treatments ranges from $675 to $2,800, with the price varying based on the area you’re having treated, the size of the treatment area, and the complexity of the procedure. It’s important to consult with one of the qualified professionals at our Orange County med spa to get a personalized quote for your specific needs.

Is LifTyte Safe?

This is a safe and gentle yet effective treatment, but any time you break the skin, there’s a risk of infection. There are no incisions and the “micro-channels” are tiny, so the risk of infection is very slight. Contact your physician immediately if you notice extreme swelling, pus, or a fever. Carefully follow your aftercare instructions, especially regarding which products to avoid as your skin heals.

The risk of scarring is also minimal, but an infection would raise the risk, so follow the aftercare instructions we give you and monitor yourself as noted above.

If your LifTyte treatment area has any scabbing, leave it alone. Your body’s natural healing responses have been working hard on what it sees as an injury or wound. Let it rebuild the tissue under the skin into a wrinkle-free, acne-free zone. If at all possible, don’t cover any scabbing that crops up. It will put you at risk of infection and scarring.

If you’re looking for a non-invasive way to rejuvenate your skin and achieve a more youthful appearance, LifTyte may be the perfect solution for you. Contact us today for a Newport Beach LifTyte consultation with Dr. Goretti Ho Taghva and her team of skin professionals to fight acne, get rid of your double chin, or revitalize your under-eye area.

Frequently Asked Questions About Agnes RF

Does the treatment hurt?

Most people experience a warm prickling sensation during treatment, as RF skin tightening energy manifests as heat. You’ll be treated with a numbing cream before the treatment and given a topical balm or a soothing mask after the treatment is over. LifTyte stimulates the immune system, so be prepared for common side effects such as redness, swelling, and possibly minor oozing or scabbing. If you can take some downtime after treatment, do so and stay out of the sun to avoid minor skin irritation. If you can’t avoid sun exposure, use sunscreen with zinc oxide to protect your healing skin. Try to support your immune system with plenty of rest and nutritious food. Vitamin C supplements may be needed, and try to eat plenty of citrus fruits and strawberries in your diet during this time.
